What major events am I missing out on?

I’ve been missing major US college student events all year. I don’t even find out about them until I’m watching them on Snapchat stories. Some examples are, Coachella, PCB for spring break, Hangout. What are these sort of events even called? And how do you find out about them?

I don’t think most college students participate in those. Coachella is a really expensive music festival that celebrities and wealthy people on the west coast go to. You can go wherever you want for spring break if you can afford it — there are just a lot of destinations that are really popular to go to. I’ve never heard of Hangout. I feel like these are all just things that get blown up by social media and seem much more popular than they actually are. Most people aren’t going to them.

I second what @Ranza123 wrote. I have one friend who went to cochella, but that’s because his wealthy uncle had an extra ticket and offered to fly him out to attend. I haven’t even heard of the other events that you listed. To second the above points, that vast majority of college kids don’t attend or even consider attending most of those events. They’s expensive, far away from most colleges, and not necessarily “College Student” events.

PCB? All I got was “polychlorinated biphenyl” haha.

Some of the bigger events are “raves”. Stuff like Paradiso, Electric Daisy Carnival. Coachella is just… an overpriced hipster fest.

Coachella, EDC, and Ultra are the only events I know that college students are willing to fly out of their home state to attend. These are mainstream music events that have been going on for years, not some random thing that people just hear about a couple days ahead.

Most people just go to local events (Austin college students attending SXSW or ACL)

Spring Break is just nonstop partying in the Caribbean, Mexico, Vegas, or Florida
