What major is a better prep for law? Rhetoric or Poli sci

Im a UC Berkeley student I wanted to see what major you guys think is a better preparation for the profession of law. I guess it depends on the type of law a person wishes to pursue, because political science would be more beneficial in certain area of law. Rhetoric is a bit more general though and if I was to major in rhetoric I would also look into a the econ or business double major/minor. Thanks for any advice and insights!

Outside of the hard sciences, which come in handy for legal fields like patent or IP law, your undergraduate major will likely have very little impact on your future field of practice. For instance, I graduated with a degree in political science, yet I don’t think it will have any impact on my future field of practice as far as skills are concerned (interest is another matter completely). Likewise, an economics major is not going to have some sort of advantage over an English major if both want to work in corporate law. The skills necessary for that sort of job will be acquired in law school and on the job.

^ Although some law students say knowledge of basic Econ is useful in law school, if you take certain business law classes.

I was Econ/Math as an undergrad and am happy I did so. I would personally choose Rhetoric over Political Science because I think it is more rigorous and may help with your LRW class in law school, but your major does not matter for law school admissions purposes so meh.
