what major is UCR good at?

i am a high school senior, and i am considering going to UCR, but i havent declared my major yet… Please give me some suggestions=)

Thanks!

I can tell you from first hand experience that UCR’s engineering program is very rigorous and respected in the engineering world. The school is also known for “entomology”, which is the study of insects. Besides Berkeley I believe, we’re the only UC with a creative writing major and a business major.

On top of the majors arcadefire covered, UCR is very well known for its agriculture.

UCI has business as well…and their school is named after the inventor of the Hot Pocket. Choose a major you enjoy, not based on school. Besides, UCR isn’t prominent in any field of study.

I’d say being in the top 100 schools in the nation is a decent achievement.

"I’d say being in the top 100 schools in the nation is a decent achievement. "

I agree!!

UCI and UCD now have business programs. Prior to 2007, it was only UCB and UCR.

UCD doesn’t have a business program.

With Riverside’s great proneness to earthquakes, I’m sure it has a stellar seismology program.

not at the undergrad level…

not hating but each state has like at least 2 Colleges… = top 100 doesn’t seem that special, maybe closer to top 50 would be a better indicator compared to top 100.

Doesn’t UCR have a medical school program, in undergrad, where if you do the time at UCR you’re and meet the qualifications you automatically do a joint thing with UCLA’s medical school?

^Yes, but its extremely difficult to get in. Theres only a few spots or something.

I know a lot of people that turned down UCI for UCR’s bio program.
