What majors are "underrepresented" at Penn?

or if it’s easier, which majors are overrepresented/extremely competitive, aside from the obvious Wharton and the dual degree programs.

I haven’t looked up the numbers by major, but I’m sure in the Arts and Sci economics, biology and chem are up there.

Psychology, English, and BBB (Biological Basis of Behavior) are usually really common too.

chem is actually not that common, there are only about 20 each year.

Physics, chem, Egyptology, etc

Would engineering specifically electrical engineering be considered underrepresented?

BBB is common but Chem is uncommon? Interesting… I thought BBB would be a small group

is theatre underrepresented?

I recall that Chemistry and Physics have been specifically mentioned by Dean Furda as underrepresented majors.

BBB is a popular major, a lot of premeds do it. I’ve even heard it referred to as a “fake” major along with health in societies in that is used as an easy way to fulfill premed requirements. I don’t personally know too much about the major though, I think it may involve a lot of neuroscience.
Physics is also underrepresented in the fact that there are very few women in the major. There are probably around 13-15 physics majors a year and I think they usually only have 3 or 4 girls.
