What materials did I need to submit for scholarship money?

I was accepted a few weeks ago, but didn’t receive any scholarship information.
I have a 3.5 unweighted gpa, 3.8 weighted, and 1940 composite SAT score. I’m out of state, but I would qualify for something right?
But the thing is, I only submitted my transcript & sat scores to them. I intended to submit my essays too, but I received an acceptance before I could submit them.
What all information do applicants have to submit for scholarship money?

I’m sure someone will weigh in besides me, but from what i understand scholarships at Pitt are VERY competitive…so while you have good stats and are clearly a solid candidate, I would be surprised if you were to get scholarship money.

Just to get admitted to honors usually requires 3.8+ and CR/Math of around 1390+, and not everyone who is admitted to honors gets scholarship money.

But, someone else may have more hopeful advice for you.

If you need merit for sure, you might want to broaden your search.

What’s your CR and M SAT? If they add up to 1450 or above, you have a chance at a scholarship. (Pitt doesn’t count the writing portion.)

If I remember correctly my son’s acceptance letter last year included Honor’s College invitation and something about scholarship info to follow.

Essays are required for scholarship consideration. But as others have pointed out, your stats are probably not competitive enough regardless–and Pitt tends to be rather numbers-driven when it comes to these things. Such scholarships are very hard to get and the competition increases every year…

In the past, there have been kids with 4.0 GPA and very high SAT (above 1450 cr & math) who didn’t get a penny of scholarship money. It seems with each passing year, the crop of applicants with great stats is growing thus the increase competition.
