What matters to Cornell admissions?

Well, I have seen for other colleges things that say how much the admissions people care about everything. I know Cornell cares a lot about fit, but is there anywhere I can see what is important. (I think I have seen it divided into important, considered, and not considered).

They look at you holistically. They try to see you as a person by what you have on your app. SAT and grades are looked at first for sure, and are generally the things that most people focus on and are considered most seriously. The essays, ecs, recs, and other things build up to show who you are as a person. Remember, they’re trying to build a class – so having a very outstanding profile in terms of scores but not otherwise is not that of an idea if they already have a handful of people like you. You need to stand out as a student and as a person.
