How many of you have sent in enrollment card? Will they send us a confirmation? and what next?

If I remember correctly from last year, D received a letter informing her of certain deadlines, etc., housing, and info that she needed in order to matriculate. I think that they will wait to send all those out until they have the class settled.

Your admission package contains a paper brochure for admitted students that specificially answers “what next”.

I got a confirmation letter for the enrollment today. It reqests an ID photo and an entire high school transcript.

How do you send them a photo? Like, my school ID photo? I don’t drive so I don’t know what else to send them. And what do they want with the transcript? That makes me nervous because senioritis has set in really badly, and with my dad’s recent stroke, I haven’t been on top of things as usual. Would they rescind my enrollment for that?

We used one of D’s graduation photos - without the cap and gown. They want a small photo like that for your ID. All acceptances are contingent on the receipt of the final transcript at many schools. Last year, in D’s acceptance letter, there was a paragraph about working to the very end of senior year - that they have had to rescind acceptances due to senioritis. As to how bad a drop it will have to be to be rescinded, I don’t know. If from A to B, I don’t think there should be a problem, but lower…better get back to working and bring those grades up!

damn. I planned on totally zooming out on the fourth marking period.
sighs and sighs.

Well, I have mostly A’s and 2 b’s (which were there last semester) and 1 c, but the c has been there in that subject since last year and they accepted me with it so I am not worried. But with my dad’s stroke, I’ve missed a lot this quarter. Hopefully the teachers will go easy on us after AP’s.

Hi guys!

I’m a new CCer and I have to say that this site is great! I got my confirmation this morning by e-mail so how do I send my student ID photo? I an intel so that slightly complicates things for me. And, what kind of photo should I send a passport photograph, or do they need an ID card like a library pass?

Just a small photo in the mail. You can use a passport photo, or any other one that is a head shot. They just want your head an shoulders in it.

I haven’t received my confirmation e-mail and now I’m a little worried. I sent it in on Monday or Tuesday, I think. I’m from LI, New York - Shouldn’t they have gotten it?

They send confirmation through mail in the States, so it probably takes a while.

I returned my enrollment form ages ago but I have not received anything from the school by mail yet. Have any of you gotten anything?

Remember - May 1st wasn’t that long ago. They are working on seeing who they have and who they don’t and if they need ot go to the waitlist. Once the class is established, they will send out everything you will need.

I sent my confirmation on April 28th and on like May 3rd I got the thing requesting a Passport-style photo.

I just called the admissions office a few minutes ago and they confirmed that they received my enrollment slip, so I am very relieved. I am officially, officially Amherst 2010!
