<p>Although funny, my answer was also true lol. Unless a non-profit business (museums and such), a business’ main goal is to earn a profit. Therefore every business with that goal should make a profit, otherwise that certain business concept wouldn’t exist.</p>

<p>The point is that all of the businesses that you mentioned can be profitable when they are well conceived and well managed. There are also plenty of examples of utter failures and bankruptcies in each of those businesses. So the question itself isn’t very useful because it’s impossible to really obtain a meaningful answer.</p>
<p>If I had to name a business which I would expect to be very profitable I’d say some sort of organized crime or racketeering, since prosecution risk provides a natural barrier to entry which protects you somewhat from potential competitors. Or a casino. But these can and do go bust as well.</p>

<p>tomato987-That is true, but those profits aren’t meant to fill someone’s pocket, they are meant to contribute to the business and keep it running. </p>
<p>Marylandmike09-Nobody here is really sure if you are actually planning on starting some sort of business, but keep in mind that it takes money to make money. I would think that some sort of service business would be the best start up project for a beginning entrepreneur.</p>
<p>I mean i’m a senior in high school trying to figure out my future so i can figure out waht to study in college so i can figure out what college to go to. i’m thinking about starting up a hospital and being a surgeon at that hospital.</p>
