What NOT to put

People say to not put too much information about yourself on the application, even though colleges say they won’t use it to evaluate you.

These things are like: income, siblings *twins, etc etc… you guys know

So, what are you guys doing? Anyone can speak through experience?

good luck to all

really? no one? and 317 views?

Its kind of a broad question. I don’t believe there is a direct question about income, just about whether you are going to ask for financial aid. I can’t imagine how it would be bad to mention you have siblings or a twin so not sure what made you think that.

I think the important thing is to appear interested, rounded, energetic and focused in your EC list, your short paragraph and essay.

Give enough info but don’t use the additional info section unless you really have something to add. Do not restate your EC list with a resume saying the same things.

Just fill out the application per the instructions? It’s not that big of a deal. Adding a five page resume detailing every little things about you would be “putting too much info”

Here I am referring to things that colleges may use against* you @dract, not the resume stuff.
These are things that you may not want colleges to use against you if possible; as stated, income, siblings, etc…

Also, I have heard that colleges like twins. It’s a weird factor that influences admissions @Lakemom.

As far as extra sheet, I may just expand more on my EC’s. (since you guys all talked about that)
