What not to wear on campus

leggings or a hit or miss situation on girls, either they look very good or awful.

i think suits arent necessary except on rare occasions, but i think dressing somewhat nice is fine. by that i mean anything that doesnt include black pants or a tie (unless its a casual tie). i think ripped shirts are fine, as long as the gap isnt to big. to me to big means when u hunch over ur stomach shows. i think that basically those two things, varsity jackets from high school, and rival school apparell are what not to wear. all those things are just kinda stupid or pointless to wear at college

agree completely! girls, if you have the body, rock em all day

My roommate used to wear leggings as pants, and of course wouldn’t wear underwear those days to avoid the ever-tacky panty lines, and the result was that when she bent over or sat down her pants were completely see-through.

CLASSY!

If a girl has the body…she can wear whatever she wants.

^thats pretty much true, but she still shouldnt wear something like uggs or north face when its 80 outside, then she just looks stupid

I wonder if leggings were debated this much in the 80s.

Apparently leggings, and all things spandex and lyrca, are srsbsnss.

I should buy a pair of man leggings, just to scare people on campus.

^ If you scare yourself first.

I saw a guy today in timberland boots, tube socks, hotpants, and a tummy shirt. He was doing some sort of political thing but I didn’t catch what.

I love leggings as pants. SO comfortable. Just throwing it out there. I wear them with longer shirts that cover my butt, though.

^karabee, then you’re not wearing them as pants. Perfectly acceptable.

Oh and I’m totally calling this srsbsnss lol.

A fun site for all you anti-leggings activists

Ours isn’t as up to date, but
[WASH U NO PANTS](http://washunopants.blogspot.com/)

wear whatever you want. nobody’s stopping you.

leggings as pants are overdone and trite, as are uggs with miniskirts (which is just stupid), looking like a slob is never appealing but is sometimes a necessity of college life (who wants to get dressed after pulling an all nighter?)
but really you can get away with pretty much anything. everyone will have an opinion about everything and you will never please the entire student population, so just do what you like.

i wear heels probably at least once a week. i mean if they go with my outfit then why not? i did the same in high school, and after walking 30 city blocks twice a day in them i think i can keep my balance. Obviously if you’re wearing heels just to look cool and wobbling all over the place that’s not a good thing. But I have a friend who wears heels every day. When it snows and she wears flat boots its like part of her personality is missing! It’s her style, it’s just part of who she is.

i like to look put together, i don’t think i’m “trying to hard.” I feel like people only say that when someone is either wearing an outfit covered in brand name logos and acting stuck up, or simply can’t pull off what theyre wearing/look stupidly overdressed in it. When I see someone wearing a great outfit and looking fantastic I have never thought negatively of it, quite the opposite, and I would expect that the majority of people would react similarly. If you have the confidence and style to work an awesome outfit then obviously go for it. I don’t see what the problem is.

I’m a quite short girl so I wear high heals everywhere I go. If I don’t wear them, I will feel like the smallest person in the entire world. High Heals are just like shoes for me.

Should I give up heals once I get to college ? Would I look seriously stupid wearing heals ???

My school is considered great, but it’s also the #1 fallback for MIT, Cornell, Berkeley, et cetera. The number one thing that ****es me off is when people wear sweatshirts for other colleges, usually ones they didn’t get into. It’s like wearing a big I FAIL sign on your chest. Have some damn pride in your school and buy your own school’s logo attire!

I don’t think you’d look silly wearing heels in college at all, but I guess it depends on your school.

I actually do wear attire from other schools but it’s not like they’re harvard clothes, they’re all schools I got into. The warmest, most comfortable hoody and pair of sweatpants I have ever encountered came from a campus tour in the upper peninsula and I am never giving them up. Plus I support their hockey team, as well as my own school’s. Whatev.

lol i own 5 tshirts two basketball shorts and a hoodie branded with my schools logo :D

He was a catboy? -Squees- Did he have the ears? The Catboy look can be sooooo cute if they can pull it off.

trust me the guy in my class, did not pull it off.
