I’m taking the SAT subject tests in Latin and Chem on Saturday. Only other subject test was US History last year, by itself, after taking US History AP course.

Confused about the procedures in the test.

Do you get a separate book for each test? Do you do the tests in a specific order?

If you can choose your order, which do you recommend I do?

I’ve just finished my fourth year of Latin, wound up with an A this year, have gotten many medals over the past four years on the Latin exams.

I’ve also just finished General Chemistry. Got a very low B as my grade for the year. Teacher did not recommend we take the AP test, as there were lots of things we didn’t cover.

Almost wish I could just not take the chem test, but will not take any more chem in HS, and want to take the SAT II while fresh in my mind, in case any college I apply to might want SAT IIs. Planning to major in biomedical engineering, so colleges would possibly want a chemistry SAT II.

Afraid that if I do chem, I’ll be wiped out by the time I get to Latin, and therefore blow a good score on what I’d more likely do better on.

But also afraid if do chem after Latin, I’ll be tired, and then I’ll have both fatigue and ignorance working against me.

Any advice?

Thanks for your help, and good luck to all of you on Saturday!
