What classes should I add/drop?

Where I’m from, we have to take 1 credit of gym/health, .5 of computers, and 1 credit of visual/performing/applied arts. You’re lucky you don’t need computers/gym/health!!

The number of APs you take should depend on the number your school offers. For example, my school only offers 6, and I’m trying to take most of them.

Another thing to keep in mind: you will change. Your classes will change. When I was a freshman/sophomore, I thought that I would take band all four years, only 2 years of Spanish, only 1 AP class. My schedules for the past few years and this year have changed dramatically. So have others’. My advice for you is to not set schedules for youself; don’t limit or expect too much out of yourself. See how you get through sophomore year. My math teacher tried to get me to not take 4 AP’s in one year because former student of hers had that many and looked like a skeleton when she walked to get her diploma. Stress.

However, my friend took 4 online APs last year…and he was completely fine. It all depends on what you can tolerate.

Also, don’t stretch yourself to take as many APs as you can. You want to be happy. Pre-calc is not for students who aren’t going into a math-related career. If you aren’t a math person, why torture yourself into taking upper-level math? My friend, who’s valedictorian and in Calc 2 at a local uni isn’t even taking AP History and AP Composition/Lit. He’s also applying to Ivy Leagues. No one is good at everything, so don’t force yourself to be. Enjoy high school.

My school offers 19 AP Classes

I have decided to take AP English III & IV online because the teacher is way too hard. At our school isn’t uncommon for juniors and seniors to take 5 or 6 APs.

Possible Majors: Pure Mathematics, Applied Mathematics, Applied Science, Physics

At our school we have a program where you can take college classes at our local state university for free.

I take advanced math and humanities classes because I love them. But I debated taking two more math classes [Intro to Theoretical Physics (High School Class) and Applied Mathematical Engineering (High School Class)] instead of French I and II DE.

Also I took my fine art in 9th grade.
I took PE online freshman year and AP Computer Science counts as a computer class.
