I want to apply to more target/low reach schools because I feel like my current list has too many reaches, please let me know what colleges you think I should add or drop from my list.

I like medium-sized schools that aren’t too heavily based on greek life, but have a work-hard,play-hard feel
Will you be looking for financial aid? If so, what is your expected family contribution? You look like a solid candidate for many schools but people can’t offer good suggestions without knowing what you can afford.
Agree on the money because if you can afford NYU, I can’t see you getting rejected.
Also, being from Georgia, how cold can you take your winters.
I see NYC and Providence, which (along with Boston) can get cold, but are moderated by being near the ocean, but I don’t see upstate New York, or one of the coldest places, Chicago.
Can you take Rochester? If so, that would be a good option.
Maybe Brandeis, Oberlin, American, George Washington, Richmond.

Rice fits the bill, but it would be yet another reach school.
If you like the political-cultural vibe of Brown, you might also consider Wesleyan, which is at the larger end of the liberal arts college spectrum (around 3,000 students) and is–while still very selective–easier to gain admission to than is Brown.
@nw2this my parents said they’re willing to pay around 30k/year and if I wanted to go to a more expensive school I would have to have scholarships. If I got into nyu for example, going there would be contingent on whether or not I receive any merit scholarships.
OP, I think affordability is going to be an issue for you. Neither Brown nor Columbia offer merit scholarships.Emory and WashU do, but it’s very very competitive, and likely the deadline has passed to apply. I don’t know about NYU’s merit.
