I am a student who performs academically well. I am top in my class, and the following are my extra-curriculars:

Student Council - Vice President
Academic Decathlon
Freshman Connection Youth Leader
Latin Club (For my sophmore year only; our teacher left the school.)
After School Matters - Apprenticeship

Nonetheless, I will be joining NHS, Hispanic Honor Society, Bowling, and Choir this year.

I know I have nothing special; I am just as typical as every other applicant. However, I plan to apply to Princeton, Stanford, UPenn, UChicago, and Northwestern. I know these are high reaches, which is why I am asking you guys to give me some suggestions for safety schools.

(BTW, many have stated that being Mexican-American is a hook. Therefore, I hope that helps. And for ACT/SAT, I have not taken these exams and will take them this year. With that said, my college choices may change depending on my scores.)

Thanks! (Sorry If this forum is redundant or roundabout, I’m pretty much in a hurry.)

Well my gpa is a 4.8, and I am planning to major in mathematics, possibly with a certificate in finance. From there, I hope to recieve an MBA in grad school.

And thanks for the suggestions guys!! It really helped. And I agree with csdad that no predictions can be made without test scores; but as I said, once I recieve my scores, my choices may change. Therefore, suggestions for safety schools are really helpful.

Test scores and financial constraints are important in determining your safeties. As mentioned above, without knowing these, the only certain safety is an open admission low cost community college.

Also, what is your state of residency? Many Big State Universities that are inexpensive for residents are good for math majors. University of Minnesota is also good for math majors, and its out-of-state list price is less than the in-state price of some other state universities (though out-of-state financial aid is not likely).
