What other colleges should I consider

Right now my choices are McGill, University of Vermont, Boston University, College of the Atlantic, Smith College, Macalester College, University of Michigan, Connecticut College, and Wesleyan.

My choices are sort of all over the places, but I’m interested in green schools that have good academics and have pretty buildings and nice people. A city nearby would be preferred. I know it sounds silly, but if there was a school like that it would be perfect.

My scores:

GPA 3.5
ACT 30
SAT 1950
7 AP classes

How much can your parents afford? If you don’t know, ask them. Don’t just settle for a vague answer, find out the exact dollar amount.

Here are some possibilities, but some may be unaffordable if your parents can’t afford to pay up to $60k a year
If you’re willing to go anywhere in the country, you might consider
-University of Puget Sound
-Lewis & Clark College
-Colorado College (reach)
-University of Denver
-CU Boulder
-Appalachian State
-Western Washington University
-University of Washington
-University of Victoria (Canada)
-University of Montana
-Hampshire College
-SUNY ESF (connected to Syracuse if you’d be cool with a college town)
-U Minnesota - Twin Cities

Thanks so much! Right now I’m still in the information collecting phase so any college suggestions are great. That being said, I’d like to go to a school that wouldn’t put me in crippling debt.

^ Than ask your parents the question of how much they can afford.

They’ll be paying up to $20,000. The rest I have to contribute with scholarships, loans, etc.

What’s your home state? You can only borrow around $5,500-$7,000 a year unless your parents are willing to cosign loans.

If you have a good Instate (tuition) school I suggest doing that, and build your profile up as you go through college.
