hi guys i’m in progress to enroll at massachusetts bay community college for fall 2017 after that i wanna tranfer to university of massachusetts- boston for international relations. my question is what program should i take at massbay to get transfer at umass for INTER please.
Personally, I would take care of academic requirements of the university so I entered college ready as possible to pursue degree requirements. I would add classes relevant to my major or prerequisites, but not classes that were required by my major and should be taken at the university. Get good grades so there isn’t a question of your eligibility for the program. Get plans clarified from your adviser.
Take a look at the core curriculum requirements for UMass Boston’s International Relations degree and try to take courses that satisfy that. So that’s English Composition 1/2 (A/B) however your schools label it. One math/quantitative reasoning course (statistics / calculus would be best). Just look at the general education requirements and try to match it.
Complete most, if not all, of the areas of knowledge requirements:
• Arts (AR) and Humanities (HU)
• Natural Sciences (NS) and Mathematics (MT)
• Social and Behavioral Sciences (SB)
• World Languages (WL) and World Cultures (WC)
• Foreign Language Proficiency (only for BA students)
- Prerequisites for your major.
- Transfer admission requirements.
- General education requirements.
Look these up on the UMass web sites. Look for the transfer credit articulation listing for MBCC to UMass to see which courses you need to cover the requirements.
