What race do you fill out if you are 2 different ethnicites?

I was born in the states and so was my dad but my mom wasn’t…I’m black but my mom is afro south american and its a non spanish speaking country…I prefer to say I’m my mom’s ethnicity because I can relate more with the culture since I’ve been raised by her…I usually put black american and or other but I don’t think I should fill in 2…I graduate from high school in 2013 and want to apply to a CSU and I don’t think I want to go to a UC anymore but its a possibility.

It is entirely your choice. if the form allows you to include 2, go ahead. the world is full of multiracial people.
Most schools aim to accept a racially and culturally diverse student body, so it’s definitely a good idea to let them know about your background and ethnicity.
best of luck.

You can put down more than one category, though CSU and UC theoretically do not consider it in admissions (of course, if you write an essay on the UC application about it, it would be hard to ignore).
