What range of schools could I get into next year??

Tbh you have AMAZING stats, great leadership & really good EC’s. I think you would have an excellent chance at both Pitt and NU. I also think you have a chance at Brown but no matter how outstanding your app is, every Ivy is obviously a reach. I don’t know enough about the other schools but I would think you have a decent chance at Rice & the Univ. of AL.

Sorry if this isn’t very helpful, I’m quite new to this site lol. It would mean a lot if someone could chance me, I have much lower stats than this though :confused:

I am very impressed by your ability to balance such high stats with the amount of EC’s. Keep it up!

@johntait1
I misinterpreted in the part that says that club might sound like a joke. I thought you were implying some negative impression. I apologize for not claryfing clearly. I just took that sentence and assumed that you were being negative. Sorry about that.

@jhgong That’s fine, no hard feelings. You are an incredibly talented individual and I wish the best for you. In hindsight, I guess the part about clubs being a joke might offend some people. At our school its commonly accepted that most of the clubs are total jokes(the ones that you listed in particular-they’re full for overachievers in school that don’t have time to dedicate towards extracurriculars) that people just participate in for college applications, and we often enjoy pointing that out just for fun, so I was just trying to warn you that you might want to explain those things. Obviously with your later clarification it isn’t necessary since you mentioned you’ve been in the clubs for a long time before being president. I’ll add one last thing-I appreciate your willingness to admit to your mistake. Cheers!

@johntait1
Thank you!

you seem like a very well rounded applicant. I’d say you have a shot at most of these schools, so just make your essays really stand out!

You have good stats, and you that will do well for you. You can use school matching sites like schoolinks.com to see what your best schools are based on your stats. You just have to realize that it always just depends on the schools, some way stats more than other. It is also important to note at a higher level everybody will be competitive so it is also important to demonstrate your passions and interests and commitments beyond the academic realm: research, coding projects, certain clubs that you have dedicated much time to, etc…) good luck!

like everyone else has been saying, i think you have a pretty good shot at combined programs , the only thing is the sat score

Thanks everyone! Does anyone know if the sat score might be the decision factor for my schools? Also when schools say ACT section combined scores of English and Math they don’t mean the reading section do they? Thank you again!
