This past summer the hot deli in my supermarket had Nashville hot chicken. It was delicious.
That is the whitefish salad I am talking about. H and I are actually going to Costco later and he says he wants it. Nobody else at home but him eats it, so we take some out and take it over to his mom’s house because she also loves it.
You mean the species whitefish??? Love it but hard to come by- Lake Superior and other Great Lakes are the source. It is more moist than walleye. Most people just mean white fish.
Our grocery store prepares fresh mushroom caps stuffed with spinach and cheese and some kind of tasty seasoning. You just pop them in the oven for 12 minutes or so, and they are really good.

Yes, it should be made from the species whitefish. That’s what it says on the label, though I guess you can’t guarantee what species you’re getting with any fish product unless you buy the whole fish.
My husband didn’t want to try it because he hates tuna salad, and now that I got him to taste it, I can’t get it away from him.
Come see us in Chicago! All the good seafood restaurants offer whitefish, and it’s reasonably priced.
I love whitefish also.
And Noosa yogurt is the best!
Lately I’ve been buying these protein packs. Cheese, meat or nuts. Sometimes I need a little protein. Or hummus and pita chips. I know these portioned out snacks aren’t the best cost wise but I like that I don’t eat an entire bag of something.
I looked at the label online for Costco’s smoked whitefish salad - 170 calories for 4 tablespoons!
^^^^Buzz kill.
Those cheese/cranberry/cashew packs around here are called Balanced Breaks and are round and in the section near the pickles. Anyway, they are delish. There are other cheese/nut/fruit varieties as well. Costco sometimes has them and they are frequently on sale.
