What resources are available to plan for a double major?

I am planning on double majoring in Sociology and Legal Studies and I want to plan everything out. I know that there are pre-reqs that must be met and that some courses are only offered either in the Fall or Spring.

So my question is what resources would you recommend to me so that I can plan my semesters out, especially with finding out which classes are only offered in a specific semester?

The websites of your two departments should have a list of requirements and perhaps a sample plan, which you can use as a guide for when certain classes are offered.

In addition, the Berkeley Course Catalog ( [UC Berkeley - General Catalog](http://catalog.berkeley.edu/) ) often has the semesters that a class is offered in parentheses after the course description. Another way to find out which classes are offered only in a specific semester is to use [Home Page - Online Schedule Of Classes](http://schedule.berkeley.edu/) and search both the fall and spring schedules for your classes (This way not be accurate because schedules vary from year to year, but it might help).

Excel, DARS and the general catalog are your friends.

Use excel to list every single course for a certain major so you make sure you satisfy all its requirements (including breadths).
