What results do I need for Ivy League colleges? O Levels

Hi, I’m 14 and I am currently in my second year of O Levels in Pakistan. I wanted to know how many subjects I should give next year. Are there any minimum requirements for Ivy League(and Stanford) colleges? I also wanted to know how big of a role extra-curricular activities and sports play in getting admission?

Thanks in advance

O-levels might not be that important, they are not sufficient for admission. A-levels are what that really matter and you’ll still be required to do the SATs for admission

But I actually have a friend who got 13 As and 2 As in his O Levels and he has gotten unconditional admission into Harvard. He hasn’t even given his A Levels yet. I’m asking whether something like 12 As be enough to land unconditional admission or even if not, are there any minimum requirements? And can someone please tell me how important the role of extra-curricular activities and sports are for admission?

Again, thanks in advance

There are no minimum requirements but you would need a majority of A/A with a maximum of 1-2 B’s. You’ll be expected to prepare for A Levels in at least 3 subjects (4 is better) with predicted grades of A or A. In addition, you’ll need to have been involved in activities outside of school and to have distinguished yourself in at least one of them by winning a national prize.
Finally, there are almost 4,000 universities in the US. The top 60 LACs and top 40 national universities, plus the top 5-10 regional universities would all provide you with an excellent education.

Is winning a national award necessary. I just talked to that friend I was talking about and he said that his good co-curriculars were kind of like a ‘cherry on the top’ kind of thing. And I also wanted to ask whether these Colleges ask for internal school exam results like finals and midterms. Please kee in mind that there is no GPA in my country.

Thanks

no they want O’Level results and A’Level predicted results.
Strong recommendations and essays are a given but for admission yes you need a national award (if not international level).
