Hi, so I’m a sophomore and I’ll be taking the ACTs within the next year. I’m just here to ask if any of the upperclassmen who have been through this process have any courses, plans, or in general advice to offer? I don’t want to be pushy, I just think that the best advice will be coming from people who have recently been through this process rather than a counselor. I’ve heard the ACT is the type of thing that if you do it enough, it might come easier to you when taking the real thing. While I hope this is true, I would really appreciate any further input. Thanks!
Hi, my daughter used the Red Book to practice for the ACT. It has actual previous tests. She would go through what she got wrong to help improve in areas she needed to. For some of her friends, timing was an issue so if you find that to be an issue, be sure to time yourself as they would during the test. Also some libraries offer practice test for free and you can get your results back in about two weeks. Best of luck to you!
