What sat/act score will i need to get into UCSD?

I’m a Chinese female living in SF. i go to a highly competitve high school known for its academic excellence (Lowell High School, if you’ve heard of it)

freshman GPA for both semesters: 3.83 (i got B’s in Accel Math1H, an honors math course)

sophomore GPA:
1st sem: 3.86 unweighted; 4.16 weighted
2nd sen: 3.67 weighted; 4.0 weighted

junior GPA:
1st sem: don’t know yet, but it’s likely to fall between 3.5-3.6 unweighted, (4.0-4.2 weighted)
2nd sem: hope to raise it up to at least 3.8 unweighted

hon/AP courses that i have taken and am currently taking: Accel Math 1/2H, Geo 1/2H, Pre-Calc 1/2H, Chem Hon 1/2H, AP Chem 1/2H, English 71H, APWH 1/2, APUSH 1/2

hon/AP that i’ll take senior year: Physics Hon1/2, AP Bio 1/2, AP Econ, Chinese 5/6 H, AP Calc BC

EC: volunteers club (150+ hrs), red cross club (50+ hrs), pre-med club (3 years so far), recycling club (2 yrs), Varsity softball (will be 4 yrs)
<–yeah, i know it’s sorta lacking

my psat scores were pretty bad (like projected 1600s bad), but i have sat prepped on my own since december…so what’s the approximate sat or act score i need to safely get into ucsd, uc berkely, ucla, ucd, uop (for pre-pharmacy)? any thoughts?

thanks!

Rough estimates:
Cal/UCLA: 2250+
UCSD: 1950+
UCD: 1850

2250…thats pretty high…

Yeah, I agree with TheRighteous, a UCSD rep came to my school back in October and she said the average is usually about 1950 (which is my exact score so hopefully I’ll be okay)

Go to the Vicci center and check out the big red book (IIRC). It lists all acceptances/rejections for all Lowell graduates to all of the schools that they applied to along with their GPA and SAT scores. That should give you a good idea.

since UCSD goes by point system, wouldn’t there be no fixed score/GPA/etc in any category (i.e. one may be accepted with a high gpa and so-so SAT and vice-versa)?

yes point system but to be a match u need a 4.08 weighted and a 1950. If uw ant to be safe u need to be above in one category. gl!: )

UCSD has some special system for Lowell because of the rigor of the school. I was nowhere near the cutoff and still got in. All that’s required for Lowell is a 3.6ish weighted, from my experience but take a look at the big red book and it will tell you for sure. If you haven’t been able to tell, I went to Lowell.
