What school is right for me?!

My passion is basketball. Preferably I ima myself at a very relaxed and chill school where I can pursue my dream of playing basketball in college. I am already applying to Tabor and Tilton. I really like the feel of the schools. Are there any other schools similar to this chill atmosphere? I’m basically want the opposite of Exeter. I visited Exter and felt stressed just watching the kids interact, they are forced, boring, robitic, students. Anyway thank you and give me any suggestions

Tabor is a fantastic school. Berkshire and Pomfret have the same relaxed vibe (even though they’re smaller) and The Gunnery might be worth looking at, too. If you’re open to an all boys school definitely checkout Salisbury. ( My sons have many friends who go there and they’re all great guys- Amazing athletes, too ). Blair and Brooks are great schools… and definitely read the SAS thread, too.

My kids didn’t go to SAS, but after I read the SAS thread, I felt like we totally missed the bus. :)

Here’s page 4 (Hidden Gems thread). You’ll find links for all the schools mentioned above. Good luck!

Definitely look at NMH, too!!

I do think it’s unfair to categorize Exeter as robotic and boring after one interaction.

True. mrnephew. I am sure Exeter is a wonderful choice for many, I really just wanted to get my point across and express my disinterest for Exeter so You would know that is not what I want

Well, these prep schools as a whole are pretty stressful, considering the workload that one receives, but social interaction, at least at Lawrenceville, is mostly relaxed. Cliques exist, but it’s not too bad.
