I am a current junior wondering what school to apply to early decision, i would like to go for dentistry. NJ Asian male. Small public high school

I have about a 3.1 uw GPA, well within the top 25%
SAT: Math: 800 Verbal: 650

I want to be on the east coast, but can go into the west a little bit, nothing like california. any size school will do… Please put many schools down because i want to get a general feel of what i should aim for.

I’m a dentist. BS Rutgers, DMD Penn. Go to any school and do well, especially in the pre-reqs and you will get into dental school. Try not to incur too much debt undergrad. You’ll get plenty of that in dental school and starting in practice.

don’t look specifically for a school to do ED. just find a variety of schools you like and if there is clearly a favorite on the list than you can do ED, but definitely don’t go looking for an ED school or you may find yourself at the wrong university.

ED was originally intended for people who absolutely know what college they want to go to. However, it has become known that it is easier to get into a college during ED than it is during regular decision. For this reason, a lot of students use ED as an acceptance strategy rather than a way to get everything over with early because they really really know where they want to go. It is easier to get into a school during ED, but it is harder to realize during senior year that you’ve made a mistake.
