What school would be best?

I’m going to be a junior next year, and I’m really wondering… what college would match my interests and qualifications?

I plan on majoring in business, although I also like computer science and architecture. I live right outside of Philadelphia (I’ve actually made some connections with UPenn, and I’ve been to “Penn International Relations Conference” as well), and I certainly don’t mind going to a different state. I’d certainly like a scholarship as well.

My PSAT score from 10th grade this year was 193, but I noticed a ton of simple mistakes that I’ve become much better at preventing. My main issue will most likely be the reading section, because my vocabulary is horrible, but I will most likely get a perfect math score and a superscore above 2000 (maybe higher).

This year I took AP Biology and AP World History (no AP classes offered in 9th), and next year I will be taking AP Language & Comp, AP Economics (micro), AP Calculus BC, AP Statistics, and AP Chemistry. Senior year I will be taking AP Literature & Comp, AP Psychology, AP Computer Science, AP Physics (B or C), and a multi-variable calculus course by Johns Hopkins University. Everything math/science-related I should get a 5 on, but I only expect a 3 on World History and 4’s on English exams.

GPA-wise I will certainly be above 3.8 unweighted, and quite a bit higher weighted, esp. w/ my AP course-load (don’t have exact numbers on me right now, plus this is just assuming I get A’s which would be pretty easy considering my school is mostly homework-based). This puts me in the top 5% of my class (school doesn’t report exact rankings), which I actually think would be 4/250. They do it by weighted GPA.

I’m in sooooo many extracurriculars. I’m on LD debate (VC), VEX robotics (programmer), SeaPerch (COO this year, CTO/CEO to be), FIRST robotics (Captain & Founder), science olympiad, Penn International Relations Conf., Math Honors Society (Mu Alpha Theta), French Honors Society, National Honors Society, class committee, school’s tech intern, and probably some I forgot to mention. This year I put in ~45 hours of volunteer work as well, and I plan to do more in NHS.

I’ve gotten a few rewards… most notably I won Boeing’s diversity essay contest this year (won a laptop), my essay focusing on the importance of diversity (in the workplace) and how technology would impact future generations. I was also a finalist at Widener’s engineering challenge (mousetrap comp.), I win 1st place Science Olympiad medals, and I plan on going to national debates next year (our area is actually the most competitive in the state, bringing the most finalists). Any other awards aren’t so important. I’m really good at writing essays though, so I think I can win a few more contests. I’ll also be an AP scholar with distinction I suppose.

Considering that my school isn’t that great (they don’t even offer BC calc or computer science, I have to reach out and personally ask universities and cyber schools), I think this is pretty decent.

I don’t really have a preference for colleges. Although I prefer to not be in a city, I would certainly accept an offer like Wharton or some other nice school. If I can’t have something decent, I’ll probably just pick whatever school offers me some decent financial aid/scholarship. Then again, I’ll probably get rejected from everything considering my GPA and non-math test scores aren’t the best.

Well UVA is an excellent school for Buisness (Match)
Upenn Comp Science (Reach)
Cornell Architecture (low Reach)
James Madison University Buisness (Safety)

I honestly don’t know how to chance you without your SAT’s; however, I highly suggest if your interested in Business to check out UVA they give excellent scholarships and are highly ranked nationally #23

University of Chicago seems cool.

UChicago has a STELLAR econ program. If you go to UChi, you will be doing econ rather than business or finance, but be prepared to work hard since it does not have grade inflation like Harvard. I would consider Babson, Penn (Wharton), Michigan Ross pre-admit, NYU Stern, Boston College, UNC Chapel Hill, MIT (stellar management program), Emory, UChi, and UVA.
Make sure you get that UW GPA up because that really matters.
