what schools could i get into?(primarily in texas)

I have a 3.56 GPA
rank: 407/957

i feel like my gpa is ok i guess but my rank just looks horrible

What is your SAT and how good are your extracurriculars? Is that GPA weighted?

i have 2060 and a lots of extracurriculars(also hold some leadership positions) and yes this GPA is weighted

Ok…so your GPA is a bit low for your SAT stats.

You need to look at schools where GPA and rank is less important than SAT. Some Texas schools say that GPA isn’t considered, but then they say that rank is VERY important. So, you need to consider that.

Before we can make recommendations, can you answer a few questions…

What size of school? big, small, ??
possible major?
private?
public?
sport school (spirited campus)
religious?
How much can you (your parents) afford to spend each year on your college education? (Have you asked them that specific question?)

i dont really care what the college is like. money isnt an issue. and i want to major in biology.

Texas State and North Texas will definitely accept you. Maybe Texas Tech. A lot of colleges in Texas over emphasize class rank.

What is your SAT or ACT?

Texas Tech might be a reachy-match

Reach - Since money isn’t an issue, maybe SMU if it is need-aware (and OP doesn’t need aid)

St. Mary’s U of San Antonio…13% of students major in Biology so they must have a strong program

University of Dallas…very good school…11% of students major in Biology
I know a girl who when here an LOVED it.

UT Dallas is a really good school, and has a strong biology department.
