Just out of curiosity, what schools did you choose Wharton over? What schools would you have chosen over Wharton ?

chose wharton over georgetown (mcdonough) and uva (echoles scholar thingy). Yeah…it was a darn easy choice.

Anecdotes, to be frank, are irrelevant and misleading. Numbers, on the other hand, reveal far more and do so more accurately.

Wharton’s yield is approximately 80%. Given the caliber of Wharton students, it’s not too much of a logical leap to assume many were admitted to other top-notch schools (e.g., HYPSM, other ivies, etc.). Therefore, plenty of Wharton students must have chosen it over other prestigious schools.

But if you really care about anecdotes, I have two friends at Wharton. One chose it over Harvard, Princeton, and Stanford; the other chose it over Yale, Dartmouth, Duke, MIT, and Stanford.

Dartmouth, Duke, Chicago, Northwestern, NYU Stern, Binghamton

Stanford, Dartmouth, Brown, Cornell, and Yale

…also UChicago, NYU, Berkeley, and UCLA

waitlisted at Harvard but that’s probably the only school I would have chosen over Wharton. Stanford was a tough decision, but I figured I’d go there for grad school or something

Lots of places
