<p>Probably not gonna find too many gay-friendly, conservative(AKA Republican) schools.</p>

<p>You might want to check out the link I’ve posted below. It won’t tell you which schools are gay-friendly, but it’ll give a general idea as to which elite colleges are Liberal (Democrat), Moderate and Conservative (Republican).

<p>Uhhhh yeah, that’s somewhat of a paradox, to find a conservative school open to a gay population.</p>

<p>I’d recommend smaller schools. Claremont McKenna in California is pretty conservative, but surrounding schools (Pomona/Scripps/Pitzer/Harvey Mudd) are pretty open about sexual orientation. I would look into that school, it might offer the balance you are looking for.</p>

<p>Dartmouth seems feasible, though I don’t know how really Republican it is.</p>

<p>Larger schools might be better in general, since having more students gives you a better chance of having more diversity.</p>

<p>If you’re seriously looking on the level of Dartmouth and Duke, however, UMich is probably a good bet.</p>

<p>UNC Chapel Hill would perhaps be a better bet than Duke, although either seems fine. Possibly UT Austin; it’s a bit of a liberal oasis in Texas.</p>

<p>Berkeley surprisingly has a large number of both (probably due to the large size of the school). Most of the conservative people I’ve met are in Haas, econ, or the sciences, though.</p>

<p>I’d imagine that any large school would have a large number of both gays and conservatives (although they probably won’t be the same people!)</p>
