What schools offer Self-Reported Grades

I am researching colleges that offer you to not have to submit an official transcript until after being admitted and once you have graduated and instead have you to self report your grades.
I was looking for an official list but could not find one.
Anyone know what schools offer this?

California UC’s and CSU’s will accept you based on self-reported grades.

But don’t think that means you can fudge.

No absolutely not trying to fudge. Just trying to see which schools use self reported grades

What difference does it make?

I don’t know how that policy would help you. Some colleges let students self report test scores, but they require an official report before enrollment. The same is probably true for self reported grades. Acceptances are conditional. If grades are too low the acceptance could be rescinded. What will you do if you submit your official transcript in June and your offer is withdrawn because your grades aren’t high enough?

There is likely no official list for anything, and any lists that are compiled are out of date the minute they are posted.

That said, I’m another one in the camp of “What does it matter?” At least for HS transcripts, I am not aware of any that charge, which is one reason that some colleges allow self-reported test scores. But at some point, official records have to be sent, and they have to align with what’s on the application.

At my son’s HS, the first 3 transcripts are free and after that they are $3/transcript. I agree with all the posters on what difference does it make in being accepted for the self-reported grades since you will eventually have to send a final transcript anyways and they need to match or you could get your acceptance rescinded.

Clarification: Ok, I do online school and they use an electronic service to send our partial transcripts and each transcript costs about $12. I was wondering what schools do self reporting grades because it makes me only have to send one transcript once I graduate instead of one partial and then my official as well after graduating. So it eliminates about $100 in transcript fees if I can apply to schools that use self reporting grades.

How do you know that the schools that accept self-reports are the ones who will be the best fit and give you the best financial aid? It seems a very desperate and limiting way to pick colleges ($100 means little in the grand scheme of the college application world - a single AP test comes close, to give an example). I don’t know if such a list exists, but you self report on the common app, so I would start with the schools that accept that and filter from there. Have you looked into fee waivers from the online school?

Yes, but they do not give for transcripts. I was able to get fee waivers for a couple college applications but not all. Although $100 is a small amount, that added in with my fees for my SAT scores and applications is really adding up and self-reporting grades eliminate that cost at least until I get admitted. I am not sure where I want to go at all so I was just doing some research and seeing what colleges offer it

Am not aware of any list yet of colleges that allow self-reporting of grades. An issue that exists in even preparing or finding an accurate list is that a number of colleges just made the switch starting with this Fall’s application round. The UCs and CSUs mentioned above have long had self-reporting of grades. More modern ones now include (and this is definitely not a complete list): Stanford, Florida, Florida State, UIUC, Penn State, Pitt, Minnesota, Virginia Tech, Rutgers, Wisconsin (if using common app), Arizona, Arizona State, and Purdue.

Generally Big State Us.
