What schools offer the best transfer scholarships?

Hi,

I’m from Chicago and I attended Jones College prep. Graduated with a 4.4 GPA and 26 ACT. I was accepted to Syracuse U, which was my top choice because of their communications program. My parents wanted me too attend Hampton University instead because they felt that school would be more nurturing I guess. They chose Hampton. 5 days before I was to leave to college, I received a letter in the mail saying my admission was rescinded because somehow the director of admissions got access to my tweets and “didn’t like my character”. I had no options for other universities because the enrollment deadlines passed so I was forced to go to the community college near my house. I just finished my first semester there. I have a 3.7 GPA. I plan on finishing up the spring 2013 semester and transferring in the fall. I would love to be in New York for college. I am applying to Brooklyn College, Baruch College, Hunter College, University of Rochester, Syracuse, Pace U, Boston U, U of Mich, and U of Missouri. HOWEVER, my parents are in no position to take out loans. What colleges offer the best transfer scholarships but also have decent communications programs? PLEASE HELP!!
sorry I’m so long winded.

See the scholarship thread linked to in the Resources sticky thread at the top of this forum.

The interesting part is that a college or university rescinded your offer of admission at a very late date based on tweets allegedlty made by you on your twitter account. Which school rescinded your admission based on an evaluation of your twitter revealed character ?

P.S. You chose the wrong heading for this thread if you want lots of views.
