What schools Should I aim for, and Where should I do Early Action??

Technically Home-schooled, I went to home school co-ops taking classes and courses at different private institutions all throughout my high-school four years. Last two years, I’ve transitioned to a more private-schooled, but still flexible schedule.

Honors aren’t offered, but the very organized (accredited co-op) I went to for five years has very challenging classes. At the local PS, I’ve taken/am taking:

AP Chemistry, AP Calculus, AP Biology, AP Literature/English

My GPA is 3.9

My non-superscored (best test score): 2250 super-scored SAT is 2300,

Extra-curricular:

2011 Volunteer at local hospital.
2011-2013 Involved in Teenpact (…look it up)
*2013-2014 US Congressional Intern, Congressman- elect GA-10 (don’t judge me).
2013 Poli-Sci intern UGA, Dr. K. Poole, (DW-NOMINATE)
*2014 International Intern-ship University of Pretoria, South Africa. Helped in emergency clinics, etc.
*2014 Young Yale Global Scholar 2014 (will this help)
2012-2014 Violin lessons ~2.5 years.
*2011-2014 Witness -> Attorney -> Head Attorney, GA, Private school’s Mock Trial team. 2/3 times state finalists. Two GA outstanding Attorney awards.
2013-2015 Soccer player local intramural team and school team.
X-2014 Teach myself art, should hopefully be selling my art at local coffeeshop(s) soon.
(not sure if includable - my dad teaches a science class (for free) for gifted middle-schoolers in his spare time. I am payed by the parents as an aide/grader)

I could probably get a letter of recommendation from the Congressman I interned for, but I’m afraid that that might look pretentious?

I’m thinking of doing Early action (I think that’s what it’s called, it’s the binding one) at Yale, but if my chances look so/so, I’ll do it somewhere like Washington & Lee (which I love but don’t love like Yale).

Would love some advice and tips on areas to work on the next few months.

Thanks in advance!

Oh, I forgot, I’m white, middle-class, from a family of eight kids. Fairly average Georgian.

Oh, I should add, National Merit Scholar, 720 Chem Subject test, more ST’s to come soon.

I’m also interested in Davidson, Emory (can someone please tell me about their undergraduate level?), Dartmouth (ikr), Duke, William and Mary.

Dartmouth isnt that big of a reach…it is a reach but its not that far off. You have no wow factor on your ECs which is my only concern for you. Unless you’re interesting, Davidson, Duke, and Dartmouth are out of the question. If you have some sort of hook of your own then I think those are very valid. W&M + Emory are matches
