<p>my sat CR and writing is 500 and math is 600… im working on critical reading allot for the next SAT hoping to improve.</p>
<p>GPA was 3.5 last year and this term i have gotten off to a good start.</p>
<p>i take AP macro economics, computer science, physics and calc BC and have already taken my micro economics AP and got a 4.</p>
<p>I am on student council, take part in business challenges at local banks (im from bermuda), and i am a very good sailor … 2nd in north america, 5th at worlds, etc… long list, i swim for my school and do a bunch of other EC’s</p>
<p>where should i be aiming? i really really really want to get into BC im working very hard on my SAT (if anyone has good techniques for the CR then please let me know, especially in sentence correction)</p>
<p>I think you have a decent shot at some good schools if you bring up your test scores even a little, especially if you’re serious about placing at a worldwide contest. Focus on that in your essay/application.</p>
<p>In the mean time, work on your test scores. The best way to improve is through practice. One consideration: if you’re finding the SAT CR passages simply too difficult, but not too lengthy (i.e., you don’t run out of time), try the ACT. You have less time on the reading section of the ACT, but the passages are easier.</p>
<p>wittywonka - thanks for your reply, the passages i seem fine on its the grammar stuff in the CR that i find very hard. I would love to take the ACT test however! its not offered in bermuda until next April ! i have taken ACT tests online and i think its allot easier than the SAT. Im just worried my SAT score will hurt me allot especially for american schools since they focus on it greatly.</p>
