Well this is for my sister but she really needs help she feels soo discouraged!
Her unweighted gpa - 3.35
Weighted GPA-4.09
SAT score- 1780 ( i think she will take it again and get way higher because my dad is getting her a tutor)
she wants to be a psych major
shes captain of her debate team which she helped start
part of the mock trial team and national honor society
played tennis for all 4 years and soccer for 2
she continually asks me for advice on which schools she should look in to and i dont think i am giving her any good advice
im thinking she could apply to UPitt (thats a decent school right?) and Boston U ( where Im going)
but where else??? any other good schools?? Please please just name a few thank you!
NO BASHING PLEASE!!

UPitt is a good school, no question about it. Her combined CR/M will have to be about 1200 to get in, but as long as its there, i’d say she’s a great match for that school

BU is going to be a tad bit harder to get into, as i know a few kids who got into Pitt, but not BU. It’s possible, but more of a reach

You didn’t give alot of info, but if speech and debate is her thing, why not look at the LAC Wooster. It’s big on debate kids and is a super cute school and would be possible for her to get into

Also, maybe Baldwin Wallace, or even a place like Eugene Lang.
If you give more info, i’ll try to be more helpful

I know that she is really big on ranks and wants a schools that is ranked pretty high, her rank in class is 15/315
our school sends a few kids to top schools ( i would say about 8 in every class go to a top school)
she has done quite a few volunteer activities
she is a part of Big Brother/Big Sisters of America
she worked as a Patients advocate in the Shock Trauma Rehab Dept of a local hospital
she will have taken 6 AP’s by the end of senior year
she also started the “diversity club” at our school and organizes the annual culture show
what other info should i give and thank you

well…if ranks are her big thing, she might be in a bit of trouble as her stats are WOW enough to get her into the tippy top of the school spectrum…She’d be great at like 90% of all colleges though
