Hey,

High school: Top 5 nationwide private school
rank - top 10% (but more than 30 out of 100 go to ivy;s)
unweighted gpa = 3.8
Act = 35
SAT = 2200
EC: MUN, Science Olympiad, newspaper, and writing my own app, and website to get MUN programs to people around the country. I also volunteer a little, and interned at a prestigious interview at Microsoft and Computing Kids. I also am Varsity Soccer, and have awards from national conferences in Model UN, and Student gov.

My dream school is Yale, but UPenn is my target.

You could apply to basically any Ivy League. One of my brothers had the same grades as you with less extra curriculars and got into Harvard. You could really get into any of them: Harvard, Yale, UPenn, Columbia; you name it.

Make sure to apply to safety and match schools there are stories of kids all the time who get perfect scores and have perfect GPAs that get rejected by all the ivies. I agree that you are certainly qualified for the schools though so it’s definitely worth an application.

@metc81: according to OP’s other thread, they are indeed in 8th grade. OP if you want some constructive advice, do not post predicted/wish list stats and EC’s. It is a waste everyone’s time.

Hey guys, I’m in 8th grade (young, i know), and go to a very competitive top 5 nationwide private school, where college is already on my mind. I already participate heavily in MUN, debate, and the school newspaper. Im in a loss fr volunteering experiences, only doing what the school asked. I’m a soccer player and maybe will do ski team as well. Im Indian-american, and get straight A’s. What do I have to do to make it Ivy league schools, and mainly my dream school, Yale.

It’s a learning experience, not much to give thought to beyond that. (And as far as I know, topics cannot be deleted once they have received comments. However, you can “flag” your own post with a brief explanation and perhaps an exception will be made for you.)
