SAT: 760 M 730 WR, 610 CR =(( (any suggestions on that, i try to read more, vocab isnt the problem for me however, its those gay passages)…retaking in october
SAT II: 800 2c, 710 bio m, 670 ush
APs: 4 on stat (soph year, self study), 5s on calc ab and bio
taking as a senior: ap lit, calc bc, spanish, gov, euro hist, chem
potential hook concenrning first generation to college…maybe idk
Awards/Honors:
honor societies in spanish, math and the nhs
regional academic bowl runner up
Stock Market Club School Champs
thats about it, im worried about this area, as u can see, im not like the state wide winner of something, or havent done research or published anything</p>
<p>Positions: (school related)
none as of yet, but pbly pres of vp of stock market club, pres of webmasters, some position in spanish/math hs and nhs</p>
<p>ECs:
school clubs: Do Anything Nice Club, Academic Bowl, Stock Market Club, Webmasters, Model UN, Spanish Club…a few others i cant really think of now</p>
<p>Sports: XC/Indoor/Outdoor…just a regular runner trying to get in shape…no recognition =(</p>
<p>BAPS- volunteer organization (religious/cultural):
- main coordinator of all youth activities (almost like a big brother activity)
- teach gujurati(indian language) to youth
- teach/play tabla (indian instrument)…i couldnt do muchwith the tabla b/c orchestras/school bands dont have room for them
- volunteered with this group since about 7th grade…6hrs on sudnays, and sometype of work during the week for about 2 hrs…soo, 360 hrs/year
- volunteered in their medical camps (provide basic physical chekcup/bloodwork for those w/out insurance)…this upcoming year, i hope to volunteer as an ekg technician/ phlebotomist, as i plan to certify myself in those 2 areas</p>
<p>Summer:
- CTY in chemistry freshman year
- took precal to skip a year in math soph year
- redoing my high school’s alumni website, and the shcool website itself, along with the classes mentinoed above
- traveled to various countries (if that really matters)…so what schools should i look at??? i am going ED Brown w/out expecting much. others: Tufts, vandy, HP(for the hell of it), Lehigh, Penn, colgate, umich, uroch…add on please!</p>
