I got shocked becase I transferred from CC to Cal, and I screwed up for the first year (junior year) at Cal.
What med schools use Weighted GPA?

Weighted gpas are not going to help you when you apply to medical school, since AMCAS (med school app) standardizes all grades so grades are equal at all schools. So the answer to your question is none and most medical school uses a pass/fail system (but its really like have a grade because its honors/high pass/pass =A,B,C)

AMCAS GPA
A or A+ = 4.0
A- = 3.7
B+ = 3.3
B= 3.0
C+ = 2.0
C = 2.0

So reading the UW website does imply that they use the system implied by the OP in assessing undergraduate work. I’ve never heard of anybody else formally doing such a thing, but it is certainly true that freshman year grades are somewhat less important. (For them to be 16.7% of your first three years surprised me, however.)

UW is provided by AMCAS with an official set of transcripts including breakdowns by year, so formally going through and redoing the math, I suppose, wouldn’t be that difficult – just tedious.
