What schools will I get into

Hi everybody!

I will be going into my junior year this coming school year but will also be graduating. I am taking classes over the summer to fulfill the graduation requirements. I realize that this decision isn’t the best for everybody but it was for me.

I definitely want to go into nursing. Please let me know if you think I have a shot at Penn nursing. I wanted to know my chances of getting into Drexel, Villanova, etc with a scholarship, or what schools you think I will get into. I have yet to take the SAT because I just made the decision to graduate early this year, but will be taking it in October.

I am a white female, rising senior, public school.

GPA:
3.9 Unweighted
4.0 Weighted

PSAT:
185 with no studying at all

AP Classes:
AP US History sophomore year
AP World History last year of high school (senior, but technically junior due to early graduation)

no sports

ECs:
Key Club (one year)
Student Government (secretary, two years)
Literary Club (one year)
Newspaper Club (one year)
volunteer at children’s hospital
volunteer at childcare of camp
dance

I realize that a lot of my ECs are only one year but my freshman year of high school I had a medical condition which caused me to be in pain 24/7, hence a drop in grades, and later resulted in surgery, which caused me to miss a few weeks of school and also drop grades a bit. This past year, sophomore year, I was diagnosed with GAD and am currently being treated for it, but my anxiety did cause me to struggle with tests. I did pass every class, and am planning on writing about these struggles. My guidance counselor who will be writing me a recommendation will definitely refer to them as well.

Thank you for your help!

Well, with just that, you EC’s seem a little weak to be honest. Your PSAT is low too, but you can always turn things around! Your GPA is good, just make sure to include class rank.

Hopefully your medical condition will amend these faults, but I’m just wondering why you’re graduating early when you already missed a lot of your freshman year?

I put Villanova at a reach, and U Penn at a high reach, but your standardized test scores might change that.

Take what I say with a grain of salt though, I am only 16 and a rising senior.

By the way, could you chance me back? I would really appreciate it! ^_^

Hi lastspartan, thank you for chancing me! I decided to graduate early despite missing a few weeks of school freshman year due to extreme unhappiness at the school I’m currently at. I realize that switching schools is an option but this was the best for me and I definitely have the motivation to do it. I know that my ECs are kind of weak but there are only so many clubs offered at my school. Should I join more clubs next year or do more outside of school ECs? Thanks again!
