he got about 1750 on his SAT, now he’s trying ACT. He is pretty smart at school, but i think he has trouble answering question with speed. So anyways, what score should he expect? and what’s the score for the 90th percentile.

^handsome. I’d say between 26 and 28.

If he has trouble with speed, I wouldn’t assume he’d get a 26 to 28. Maybe a 24 to 26 at best. The two tests aren’t really comparable, especially the english section. Math is sort’ve similar, and Reading you have to work VERY FAST.

If he is slow on speed, you have to prepare for science section. A lot of people just could not finish this section.

Speed is everything on the ACT. You have no time to think, so you pretty much just have to get everything on the first pass. And many people, including me, are barely able to complete the science section, if they finish it at all. To score high, it is important to work on taking timed practice tests.

well, i guess we’ll see in a month. He’s taking the october ACT

Yea i got around a 1750 also when i took the SAT but when I took the ACT in June i got a 28. The ACT is about speed, so if he is slow at answering questions he might get around 24-26. Ya never know until he takes it though.

ACT is a test more of how fast you can quickly analyze and comprehend information, so it might be possible that he did worse concordance wise. 25-27.

good guesses guys, he got 28
