What do I need to score high on the sat’s and act’s to get into Princeton? I’d like to make managed efforts to succeed where I’ve been behind enough to create a newer more versatile me so I can make it into my favorite school. I’d love to go for Design, not sure what, I just like to think and create. Maybe someone could suggest a major or a minor? I think that creating things like this world has just gets people to wake up in the morning, so I’d like to get paid to do it. I’d also like to be a heavy investor in the stock market and own a bank chain. I have big dreams and big ways to heat the bases up so to speak. So I’d love to hear anyones challenges for me to accomplish so I can be over them and get going on my Princeton education if I can. Thanks a lot. -David

Wow, you have a lot of questions! I’ll address what I can. (I’m not familiar with design or investment banking, so I’ll leave those answers up to someone else!)

In terms of SAT, the middle 50% range is about 700-800 on each section. In other words, it’s very difficult to get in with <700, unless you are a recruited athlete or have another hook.

The range for ACT, I believe, is about 30-35 (someone correct me if I’m wrong).

Probably 30/31-34.

I’m not sure the OP understands Princeton’s selectivity. Having the wide eyed ambition of a five year old means nothing, you need to act on that and really be something else. You need to do as well as you can, as there is definitely a positive correlation between performance and admission rates. Aim for a 2400 SAT or a 36 ACT, a perfect GPA, and extracurriculars of importance. Even if you were to achieve all this, the odds of getting in are still against you.
