What score should I send to reaches?

Hey all,

I have 710 in SAT II Physics, and 730 in Math Level II.

I’m retaking math in january and will hopefully get it above 750 and send it to my reach schools. However, should I send my 710 physics along with it? or just send math?

I’m applying for computer engineering.

What schools are you applying to? Some “reach”-type STEM schools require two SAT II tests, one in math and one in science. If this is the case, you definitely need to send the physics. However, I think you should probably do so anyway – the commonly used benchmark is that any score over 700 will look good.

is this joke? i think its not but 700+ is considered TOP score for any university…

@augustuscaesar27, Schools like Yale, Penn, Tufts, Northwestern

Yeah, I would send it. UPenn, for example, recommends that engineering applicants take a science subject test, preferably physics.

@augustuscaesar27 Okay, I was just perplexed because the normal applicant pool that applies for engineering has great subject test scores (750+)

I’m an IB Diploma student and so we have predicted grades, for which I have a high grade on physics. I don’t want to make them devalue my ib predicted based on my performance on the subject test.

What do you think?

710 is a great score! Seriously. They’re definitely not going to think badly of you because of it.

Anything over 700 is a good score, but some subject tests have crazy percentiles. A 800 on the Math II is 80th percentile!
