what should a current junior do

i am currently a junior interested in applying to a 6/7/8 year program. for those of you who have already gone through the process, what do you feel is the most important thing to have? what should i work on this summer to improve my chances of getting into one of these programs.

the whole process seems very scary to me because it all seems so competitive and the admit rate is soooo low for most of these programs.

thanks.

what did you do already?

Here is how i prioritized my stuff

You have to have heart and passion for medicine, thats what the interviewer really sees in you during interviews.

GPA- u should get good grades which indicate your dedicated

SAT- high score to show ur test preparedness

Extra Curriculars- Do a lot of clubs

Medical- Do stuff like internships, EMT, hospital volunteering, research, anything medically related (this can make or break ur resume)

Thats about all i nkow of right now, i tried my hardest in all categories and now i have a full ride to VCU’s Guaranteed PRogram. Good luck.

i’m going to do research this summer and i’ve been helping to kinda edit papers for cell research, the number one science journal in asia. and i wanna go to emt school this summer. i think my grades are pretty good… and sat scores come back on the 11th.
