<p>I going on a college visit this Wednesday, and after the tour I meeting with the BS/MD program director and the head of the bio department. It’s not an interview, but more like a chance for me to ask questions personally. What questions should I ask? I don’t want to have too many questions, or too few, but at the same time I don’t want to ask questions that could easily be found on the site and look dumb. I have like 4 for the program director but none for the bio head because I don’t really know what I should be looking for. Thank you in advance.</p>

How do students end up working on research with faculty?
What about the department are you most proud of?
What would my first year classes be like? Second year? Professors teaching, or TAs? How many in those classes?<br>
Are there any interesting opportunities for first year bio students like learning communities or job shadowing?
Does the department ever have social gatherings where students are included?</p>
