I am currently a high school sophomore and i want to study astrophysics. I took H Chem and currently Bio. I took online H Physics during the freshman summer but the teacher was really…Conservative maybe?.. He gave me like 21 70% works for late penalty even though he kept asking me for a signature that i couldn’t get earlier which messed up my schedule and grade. SO eventually my grade was made into 89 and yes, only a B. SO i decided to drop the grade.
Anyway, I am learning single Var-Calculus through MIT OCW and Xed. At the same time i am learning AP Physics. (I prefer finishing Calculus first because i am too curious that i just want to figure out the proofs and derivations of all formulas, i also tried to prove some math formulas that is not proved on my textbook). But i still don’t know what exactly i should do for my EC.
For academics, I don’t know if i should go for dual credit or not because the community college program requires SAT scores, which is not in my plan yet. I want to try CTY, but i got 2 points off for the intensive study eligibility (maybe i was too nervous when taking SCAT??). So Can someone help me out here?
Also, i am interested in languages and linguistics, I am trying to learn Swedish and Polish currently, and I want to raise the awareness of/ or just letting people in my school know about some endangered languages for my service project this year. I am also in our school’s math team, a little bit interest in Hi-Q team but not sure. What else should i do for EC? I do have Tourettes Syndrome so i don’t know if i can take advantage of that…
