What should I do for fall quarter, another CC or take some potential upper level courses?

I have been accepted to Penn State online campus and want to apply to my choice business schools for winter quarter. I have a 2.7-2.8 gpa and have a really good grade trend in the last year that shows my growth and dedication to school.

The school I want to go to for business is encouraging me to stay at CC for one more quarter but I have two Associates degrees and am really ready to move forward with more knowledge rather than running around the basics. I did apply for their general studies/undeclared major for Fall but an admissions decision overlaps with Penn’s start of semester. The advisor is encouraging that I stick it out in WA state rather than taking online courses with Penn. The pros for Penn are that I will be apart of upper level learning (300) and one will class will transfer into the actual business degree wherever I go in Wa State whereas I feel i will be a sitting duck at a community college. She wants me to meet with the school regularly and immerse myself but I really am worried about timing and getting my bachelors in a semi-timely manner. The pro for the CC idea is that I will be with other people and get to interact, I miss that as this summer i’ve taken online courses to finish pre requisites and am missing the face to face experience. I quit my job in the spring to become a full time student so that I can immerse myself into the college experience so i can be successful and get great grades and apply for competitive business schools around here (SU, UW…Etc)

My dream is to get good grades and do what is best for me. I might want an MBA one day but I am focusing on now and what can be done to achieve future success in life, not the what-ifs.

Would you stay at Penn State World Campus and finish your degree there if you aren’t ultimately admitted to the other place? If so, there is no point in waiting around any longer at the CC. It is time to get on with the rest of your life.

Yes I would stay with Penn State and ultimately move over there for my last year. Its not ideal but I know that a business degree needs networking and interaction with other people. I am really hopeful in getting into a business school in WA - this January, though I am realistic that it may not happen. I am applying to some competitive programs and I won’t settle for anything less which is why I was happy with penn. I really want to look like a good applicant come january
