Or things to look out for? Thanks!
Just adding some people simply go, follow the college’s program, and react to what happens. Others have a more self-driven agenda, but I personally think either way is fine depending on what you prefer.
We developed a system after a few tours. Our D liked to do the general college tour in the morning, eat in the dining hall for lunch, and then do her major specific tour in the afternoon. If possible, we would also go visit the department office afterwards and walk the building if it wasn’t included in the tour. She also met with professors and sat in on classes wherever that was offered.
Our D paid attention to how students interacted with each other while they were walking around but especially at lunch.
