what should I do?

I am a Junior in high school. my gc messed up my schedule and I have to take all the joke AP classes next year: AP Stats, APES, AP psych, Ap Gov.

I will self-study Ap Calc AB and AP CHem

Will that hurt me when I apply to UChicago?

Until my senior year, I have taken all the hardest classes offered at my school… Will that break my RD application?

You sound like a very driven student, who probably goes to a top high school. Regardless if they are “joke” AP’s, an AP course is an AP course. What I mean is, you’re still taking A BUNCH of AP’s next year. Most kids only take a handful their entire high school career. So, I think you’ll be fine. Just make sure that you have a life outside of school :stuck_out_tongue: Seriously. Colleges would rather see you be very passionate about some sort of EC or very involved in a club rather than get a perfect on the ACT (not that getting a perfect isn’t impressive…)

AP Stats and AP gov are not Joke classes.

It is just March 1. If you prefer to take AP Calc and AP Chem work it out, then fit in any others you may want. Make an appt with your guidance counselor and fix the problem.
