I just got an emai from the UC’s saying that I need to take the Writing Placement test, and they gave me a test center to take…HOWEVER!! I passed the AP english examinaiton last year, and I shouldnt have to take it. They even stated that I have not recieved a 3,4, or 5 on either of my english writing examiniations…eventhough I have passed it.

uhh so just call them o wait i think i read somewhere that you can just skip it but call them

I was in the same situation, since I didn’t know I was going to apply to a UC when I took the AP English exam last year. Did you request that scores be sent to the UC schools you wanted when you took the test last year? If not, all you have to do is call CollegeBoard at (609) 771-7300 or (888) 225-5427 and request for a rush report delivery of your AP exam grade, which is $25. Don’t do the regular one, which is $15, because that’s going to take a week whereas the rush report takes two business days. More info can be found at <a href=“College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools”>College Board - SAT, AP, College Search and Admission Tools; . Oh, and be sure to have the school codes ready… Although the deadline for the schools to have the score was April 1, the UCs can still accept it, provided that it’s done as soon as possible. Then they will contact the UC headquarters and say that you don’t need to take the test after all. Hope that helps, and good luck.
