What should I do?

I came out of the October SAT feeling verrryyy good about my math and writing scores, and blahh about my CR…like always, since I’ve never studied. I got my scores back with a 750 math, 620 writing (sad about this) and 620 CR. I’m planning on applying to Duke which requires much higher scores in writing and CR. I go to look at my score report today and see that I missed 1 question out of the 38 i answered on the writing. This means I omitted 11 questions, when I know for a fact that I did not omit a single question on the entire SAT anytime I’ve ever taken it. 10 of these “omitted” questions came from the improving paragraphs and identifying sentence errors sections. What should I do, because I know I did not omit these questions?

Ask for a handscore. It costs like $40, but if there is an error, they will refund it.

Are you completely positive that 2 of the pages weren’t stuck together and you simply flipped past a short section? Hmm…if you’re that sure you can always contest your answers, which I believe they allow for $50 or so… Or you could just retake, since you’ll probably have to for your CR section anyway.

Well the thing is that I remember seeing every answer bubbled in on every part of my test. I check every bubble with every question number before every question, so I would have known if I had skipped a whole 11 problems. I just need to get my finalized SAT scores, so I can go ahead and apply everywhere I want.

i second the handscore idea

its $50 btw.

NCSU FAILS. Lol, I couldn’t resist…

^NCSU is better than Duke in engineering.
