I just received my ACT September score
31/35/27/36
I will also take the October one, I am aiming for a superstore of 34, I think I can get a 36 on my math next time(when I do practice tests I normally finish the math portion pretty quickly and got a 36)
reading scores have been very inconsistent for me, I score from 22~34 depends on the topic. On the other hand, English portion is always around 29~31, a lot more stable than my reading
If I want to have a composite score of 34(which means I can only deduct 10 points together from my reading and english portion, what should I focus on or is there any way to make my reading section more consistence? )
First of all, congratulations on a great score!
Focus on Reading for your next test. With practice, you will see the scores move.
Are you using REAL ACT tests to practice with? This is especially important in the Reading section.
Remember:
1.You do NOT have to take the test in order.
- You cannot INTERPRET on the reading test. There is only ONE right answer based on the passage.
- You CANNOT add or subtract information from what is in the passage. All that matters is what is DIRECTLY stated in the text.
.
I didn’t do the real ACT prep for the reading section yet since I was focusing on my english
I will go ahead and do the 5 real ACT prep from the official red book.
By the way, do you think I should still try to improve my English score? I still have some time before the October test, thanks!
Yes if you have time, work on the English as well.
